Benefits and Services
The State of Wisconsin has a long history of providing benefits and services to state residents who entered active duty from Wisconsin and continue to reside in the state. These are provided in order to supplement and complement those provided to veterans by the federal government.
A Legacy of Support
The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs was created in 1945 to consolidate separate veterans programs under one agency. Today, the WDVA provides grants and a variety of services to eligible Wisconsin veterans and their families.
