The Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (SWVMC) in Union Grove, WI, provides a dignified final resting place for eligible veterans, spouses, and dependents, honoring their service and sacrifices. Spanning 105 acres of serene, state-owned farmland, it is one of the busiest state veterans cemeteries in the nation, conducting 1,300–1,500 services annually. Established in 1996 and officially dedicated in 1998, the cemetery features an outdoor committal shelter, a ceremonial area, and a flag plaza for veterans’ events. Conveniently located near Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha, it remains a solemn and beautiful tribute to those who served.
